Custom Mold Your Liproguard

Follow these steps to create a thin, comfortable barrier over your lower teeth. Liproguard can be reheated and remolded whenever needed.

How to Mold Liproguard

Heat the Water

Heat water to approximately 140–160°F. The water should be hot, but it does not need to be boiling.

Soften the Material

Place one Liproguard square into the hot water. Wait until the material becomes soft and mostly clear.

Remove Carefully

Carefully remove the softened material with a spoon or similar utensil. Allow it to cool briefly until it is comfortable to handle.

Mold Over Your Lower Teeth

Place the material over the lower teeth where your lip normally experiences pressure. Use your fingers and tongue to press it into a thin, comfortable shape.

Make It Thin

Continue pressing and shaping the material until it forms a thin barrier. A thinner fit usually feels more natural while playing.

Cool and Test the Fit

Allow Liproguard to cool completely. Remove it, check the fit and trim away excess material if necessary.

Need to Try Again?

Liproguard is remoldable. Place it back into hot water until it softens, then repeat the molding process.

Helpful Tips

  • Start with one square and keep the second as a spare.
  • Do not place the material in your mouth while it is uncomfortably hot.
  • Press the material thinly for a more natural feel.
  • Trim rough or oversized edges after the material has cooled.
  • Store the finished Liproguard in the included carrying case.

Cleaning and Care

Clean

Wash with warm water and mild soap after use.

Dry

Allow it to dry before placing it back into the carrying case.

Store

Keep it away from excessive heat, direct sunlight and hot vehicles.
